Halloween, autumn decorations added into store

We have some other Halloween decorative and autumn decorative items added to the e Chic Handcrafts & Antiques store.

We also have some new holiday jewelry pieces added to Prairie Chic, made by a Herington woman.

Don't forget that a Midwest artist whose sister lives outside of Hope, Kan., is coming to Prairie Chic for an art show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.  Tienne Rei Kollars currently lives with her family in Southern Illinois. She was married to her husband Mike on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2001 and hopes to eventually make a permanent move to the coast. Her sister, Tana Davis, recently moved to rural Hope and introduced Tienne's artwork to Prairie Chic. Look for more details ahead on this blog! Also, the staff at Prairie Chic Handcrafts & Antiques store have announced a discounted rate for our holiday handcrafted decor and gift items! We are now offering 1/2 price on wall space, so instead of $15/sq. ft., it's now $7.50/sq. ft. per month (with a minimum of 4' space). That's just $30 for a 4' space per month (plus 15% commission rate). But, wait. That's not all! If you pay in advance for the holiday season (now through Dec. 31), you can prepay just $75 for the period.

Come on in and consign your furniture here, or check out our other vendor booths with vintage and handmade items while you are here, or consider us if you need climate-controlled indoor storage units on a monthly basis, also. We have 10' x 10' for $105 a month or 5' x 7' for $65 a month, plus a $20 one-time administration fee to start your lease. We're open Wednesday though Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

New items added to Prairie Chic store this weekend

We have more new items added inside our store, as of Saturday evening. 

The three captains chairs are $22 each. 

We have several desks, another dresser and a bench also added to the store on Saturday.

We have another booth filled on our northern end cap, in case you haven't been in the store since Herington Vintage Days back in August.

 

















Our Designs by Davis Custom Sewing vendor in two 6' booth spaces is continuing her 10% off any purchases of $25 or more sale on items. 

And, don't forget that we have our inaugural Recycled Robots Art Competition starting at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 here at our store (9 S. Broadway St., Herington, KS 67449). Our competitors are welcome to bring anything else to help hold it together. The competition is based on looks, but extra points will be given if the piece actually works as a robot. This is open to regional middle school students, high school students and adults. The winner will receive $100 and the piece will be displayed in the store for 30 days. The goal of the event is to stimulate latent artistic juices of area residents. For more about the event, call the store at 785-258-8004.

Celebrating Independence Day with handmade items!

Come in and shop at Prairie Chic Handcrafts and Antiques store today, Thursday or Saturday. We are closed Friday in honor of area Independence Day activities! Also, our store owners Mark and Denise Homer will be in Herington this weekend. So please come in and welcome to the area and come ready with any questions you need them to answer!

Speaking of the holiday, here are some cute items our vendors have for sale that are definitely red, white, blue and All-American themed to add in to your home!
