Tables available for purchase, military cabinets sold same day at Prairie Chic

We have just one night stand in the store right now, available for purchase at $14. Many customers have come in looking for one, so if you have a vintage, an antique one or a quality used night stand that you are no longer needing in your home, we can sell it on consignment for you!

Sometimes customers ask what items sell best in our store. Although it's hard to pinpoint just one item does well, tables usually go out faster than other items do. We have a wide variety of tables of different sizes, shapes, lengths, heights, colors and materials. If you are interested in an item, I have a 24-hour hold policy to allow you to take time to come see it for yourself. Feel free to inquire about something you are seeking but that you do not see pictured. Also, if you are creative -- or even if you'd like to learn more about being creative when it comes to scrapbooks, don't forget about the Mini Album Class on Feb. 21. The cost is $20, which includes the class fee and supplies. Those interested in the class just need to bring 10 photos sized 4" x 6", or more smaller photos to fill a 5" x 8 1/2" album. Contact Stephanie at 785-571-3955 to reserve your spot. (Deadline is MONDAY to register.) 

Also consider us if you need climate-controlled indoor storage units on a monthly basis, also. We have 10' x 10' for $105 a month or 5' x 7' for $65 a month, plus a $20 one-time administration fee to start your lease. We're open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday though Saturday and by appointment Sunday through Tuesday. Flea market planned Sunday

Prairie Chic is holding a flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday (tomorrow) in our store. Prices for vendors are $2/sq. ft. with reservations in advance, $3/sq. ft. on the day of the event. For our special sales events, you set up items on your own table, and sell them as "cash and carry."

Don't forget that a Midwest artist whose sister lives outside of Hope, Kan., is coming to Prairie Chic on Oct. 18 for an art show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Tienne Rei Kollars currently lives with her family in Southern Illinois. She was married to her husband Mike on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2001 and hopes to eventually make a permanent move to the coast. Her sister, Tana Davis, recently moved to rural Hope and introduced Tienne's artwork to Prairie Chic. Look for more details ahead on this blog! Now hear this: Discount rate now being offered for holiday craftmaker vendors

The staff at Prairie Chic Handcrafts & Antiques store have announced a discounted rate for our holiday handcrafted decor and gift items! We are now offering 1/2 price on wall space, so instead of $15/sq. ft., it's now $7.50/sq. ft. per month (with a minimum of 4' space). That's just $30 for a 4' space per month (plus 15% commission rate). But, wait. That's not all! If you pay in advance for the holiday season (now through Dec. 31), you can prepay just $75 for the period. 

If you create items such as these, or anything that you create, you can qualify for this special discounted wall space offer! We're open Wednesday though Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 9 S. Broadway St., Herington, Kan. Herington Vintage Days is now underway!

The Visit Herington Tourism Group is hosting the Herington Vintage Days which finishes today in downtown Herington. The event just started and runs through 10 p.m., including the street dance with the local Clearview Band ending out the day.
