Farewell 2015 from Prairie Chic

As 2015 has come to a close, we the owners of Prairie Chic, Mark and Denise wish to Thank our many vendors and wonderful shoppers which have come from far and wide.
Prairie Chic is an experiment in entrepreneurism   The concept was to allow Pickers, Crafters and Artisians to concentrate on their craft while letting us "Mind the Store".
For many people we were a success in that mission. Many buyers traveled from outside the city, county or state to shop for our unique items.
Sadly, we never developed the volume needed to pay the overhead.
Prairie Chic will now be closed as of Jan 1, 2016 and not scheduled to re-open.
We did not make this decision easily, nor are we walking away from Herington.
We've made a great investment of time, money, hopes and dreams in the community.
We may be contacted thru Facebook to collaborate on creative re-uses for our downtown properties.
We Thank You and Wish you a Happy 2016.
Best Wishes,
Mark and Denise
