Come downtown to shop, have some lunch!

Have you heard that Brasch's Bratwurst has their mobile kitchen trailer in downtown Herington today? They will be open for lunch starting at 11 a.m. Their food offerings include homemade bratwurst, bierocks, schnitzels sandwiches, currywurst and German Potato Salad.

Here are some items we've had added in to our glass case recently. The items for sale are a rare published literature, including a first edition from 1948 of Llana of Gathol and a 1922 edition of The Chessmen of Mars, both published in the U.S. by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., in Tarzana, Calif. There's also an antique baby doll and a handmade wagon for sale.

We also have a letter written on May 3, 1912, which talks about the Titanic, how the British couldn't build good ships like the Americans could and how the Titanic sank. The picture is signed by by Millvina Dean, the last known survivor of the Titanic. There is also an original newspaper advertisement for the Mauretania and the Lusitania, mentioned in the letter. The Lusitania is noted as a strong ship, which was sunk to start the U.S. involvement in World War I. Price on sale is $2,150.

We are open today until 6 p.m. at 9 S. Broadway St., Herington, KS. Come in and browse our antiques inside our vendor booths and our consigned antique and quality used furniture items.
